HIGH PERFORMANCE CATARAFT AND RAFT FRAMES

We custom build our cat and raft frames one at a time to not only fit the dimensions of a specific boat, but also the dimensions of the people rowing them.  One frame does not fit all, and this custom approach allows us to alter our designs to accommodate the needs of each customer.  We literally have decades of combined experience in designing, building, testing, and destroying frames in our quest for the perfect designs. We just did not buy into the theory that frames had to be big and heavy to be strong.  Our goal was to build the ultimate in lightweight, high performance cataraft frames.  The end result of all that "product testing" are some of the most innovative, durable, and lightest (if not the lightest) cat frames on the river…frames that stand up to the punishment of class 5 or loaded down with gear on extended trips...or both!  Our standard "Ultralight" frame sells for $440.00 and features:  1" steel tubing, quick release fold down adjustable oar stands, adjustable seat mount system,  and scout bars.  Weight is about 54 pounds (without seat.) For the boater seeking the ultimate in lightweight equipment, our "Flyweight" frame has the same features, only with 3/4"steel tube construction, weighing in at only 37 pounds!  Although designed for solo playboating, our prototype design has withstood years of abuse on class 4/5 rivers, along with gear-laden trips or an occasional passenger.  Because of the more intricate truss design (for strength), the price is slightly higher at $465.00.  Various custom options are always available for any frame we; call us with your needs and we will be happy to provide a quote.  Our raft frame prices typically range from $385.00 to $475.00, depending on the options (such as number of coolers and dryboxes to be carried, breakdown construction, etc.)  Once again, please call us for a quote for your specific needs.  Please note, all prices are for frame only and do not include seats, oar locks, or pins. free in the Boise calling area.  Due to the fact we still have to maintain our real jobs, we may not always be there to answer, but we do check our voice mail regularly and will call you back ASAP.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:
We only accept personal checks and money orders at this time, although we plan to eventually be set up for credit card purchases.  Payment is usually required at the time of the order for first time customers.  SOTAR orders require a 50% deposit upon order with the remaining payment at the time of shipping.  Our mailing address is:

SHIPPING AND TAX:
We keep our prices low due to fact we are strictly mail order and do not keep a bunch of overhead stock.  The downside is that we have to charge shipping on everything we sell.  This is no different than ordering from the big catalogs, but something that you need to consider when comparing our prices with any local suppliers.  Our goal is to still be cheaper by the time you add in the shipping, but that may not always be possible on small orders.  Obviously, the more you order at one time the more you save on shipping, and the lower the cost for your items.  The following shipping rates apply:

 Under $25.00:   $5.50
 $25 to $50:        $6.50
 $51 to $100:      $8.00
 $101 to $200:    $12.00
 $201 to $300:    $14.00
 $301 to $500:    $18.00
 $500 to $1000:  $22.00

Some items are subject to oversize shipping charges, such as oars, paddles, and inflatables.  Oars usually cost an additional $10 per order.  We will provide a quote for inflatable orders, but they usually run about $70 for shipping.

Idaho sales tax of 5% must be added to orders from Idaho residents.
 

OUR BOATERS CO-OP PLAN:
  In order to save on shipping costs for our local customers, we plan to initiate a monthly consolidated order program.  If you have items you do not need ASAP, save them up and we will put in a group order at the first of each month.  Everyone splits the shipping and saves!  The order will ship to us, and we will make arrangements to deliver the gear to you.

TRIP RENTALS:

For individual item rentals of 5 to 9 days, the price is capped at the price of a 5 day rental.  For rentals beyond 9 days, let us know what you need and we will negotiate a very fair rate.

CUSTOM RENTAL NEEDS:

You name it, we can probably get it for you!  For instance, lets say you want to step off the airplane at Boise and go run the Middle Fork Salmon. We could provide a complete gear set up for you, clear down to the picky little items the Forest Service requires.  Or perhaps you need to rent for an extended time period.  Let us know your needs, we can customize a rental package to fit.  We will work out a fair price with you, plus we can help you figure out all the logistics for just about any trip in Idaho.
