The Boicatr makes a first cataraft descent through the class V Logjam Rapid on the Deadwood River. Note the flex in the left oar as it catches the log. That log you see is no longer there (above the water) after Jerry Kiser attempted to get his 15.5' cat through the slot.The Deadwood was running 900 cfs on 8-21&22. More on the Deadwood overnighter trip below.
