Big Smiley from Missoula reports...What it is? Smilin' in Zootown. Got to run the Snake like we planned across Columbus Day weekend....oh ya! Got to crash the Garbagescow in Granite...we entered a bit too far ta the right like about ten to fifteen feet to far and tried to bust thru the ledge wave. Damn near made it! Momma swam and I swam, our passenger from Wyoming stayed in...don't know how but do believe she's still pullin' Hypalon outta her fingernails!! No damage and good fun! Check out the series of 4 photos Heading In, Still heading in, On it's side, Back up right!

Mark Kramer and Ted Day ran the Class VI Coyote Falls rapid on the South Fork of the Clearwater on June 9-10. Above is Mark plunging through the top major drop on June 9th. He separated from his boat in the second major drop, "Fangs", and wisely choose the nearby rescue rope over his boat. The flow on June 9th was 2000 cfs. With determination to conquer the rapid he and Ted Day ran it Sunday at flows of 1850 cfs.
